Lord I trust you

It is so much easier to say "Lord I love you and trust in you" when there is light on the road ahead... but it is a different experience and there is much greater joy and strength when you say "Lord I trust you" in pitch darkenss.
So much easier to sing "Great indeed are your works O Lord now and ever more", when one can see the hand of the Lord behind the works. It pains and kills you when you have to say that when all you can see and hear is your own voice screaming in your head - "God, why have you forsaken me?" As painfull as it is right now, I still choose to say, "Lord, I trust you. I still believe that you have a plan for me, plans for my prosperity and not for my disaster, plans to give me a future and a hope."
What is faith, if it is not to believe in what we cannot see and be assured of things that are not there... faith is to say "Lord, I do not wish to know your plans for me, but let me just sit in your arms, for I know there I am safe and happy. Lead me, take me wherever you wish to lead me. I no longer question, but surrender to your perfect Will. Lord I trust in you."
